My Spoilt Holiday!

Do you ever feel Spoilt? Well, I definitely do! My mum always spoils me with expensive things and now that I have a step-dad...... I get even more spoilt. Oh, but I'm not a spoilt brat, to be honest, I hate being spoilt. You do get whatever you want sometimes but it can be the worst fee
ling ever but today   I will be telling you about my BEST but expensive holiday!

Last year when it was the school holidays, my mum invited me to go on a trip with her and our family. Where were we going to? Well, it was a Boat Cruz so we went to three islands that holiday! The Boat Cruz was SPECTACULAR!!! We got fed luxurious food, they had an entertainment stage, they had a bingo club, there was a pool, there was a big screen for movies and they even had a virtual car machine. All of it was exciting and fun, I enjoyed myself a lot but that wasn't the end of it.

My mum had to go back to Australia and I thought I was going back to NZ but my aunt and uncle asked me if I wanted to go with them to Dream World! Dream World is located in Gold Coast and since we were in Brisbane, it was just a 1-2 hour drive. I said yes and so we stayed with our family who lived there. Going to Dream World was amazing! It was like going to Disney Land but a bit smaller. Since Dream World and Whitewater World are connected, we went into both of them. I didn't get to go on every single ride and slide (mostly because some of them were too much for me) but I did have a really good time.

After all of those good times, we finally went back home. My family went back to Australia/Perth and I went back to New Zealand/Auckland. The islands that we went to was Noumea, Lifou Island and I forgot the last one but I had I really great time. If it's hard believing that I went to Dream World I have proof and the Boat Cruz Well, I don't have a photo but I do have proof but in real life. If you don't believe me, come to me and I'll show you. Remember to appreciate what you get!

'I Like Your Latitude!'

WALT - Latitude and Longitude!

WOO HOO! It's only the first day and it's already going great. Our theme this term is 'I Like Your Latitude!'. What do you think this saying means? Today I will be telling you about the immersion assembly and what were my favourite parts!

Mr Goodwin got the teachers LOST! Team 4's movie was hilarious, their movie was about how to navigate your way around the continent/s. All the teachers in Team 4 (except Mr Goodwin) had to complete a quest. Their quest was to find a way to get to school by using the olden day style, using only a map and a compass. They had their little arguments but in the end they finally all agreed to go one way and found their way to school. The teachers were very upset at Mr Goodwin so they told him to find his own way home without using Google Maps or a GPS. Mr Goodwin just sat there alone....

The Magic Button..... Team 5 did a real life act. Their idea was all about, Where in the  latitude and longitude are you? Ms Tapuke was the main character, she used her 'Magic Button' to go around the world. She traveled to North America, Asia, Africa, Europe and in every country she went to, she met someone. She would always ask them "Where in the Longitude and Latitude are we?". The answer would always be numbers and degrees so my team (Team 5) will be learning about how to read and find out what longitude and latitude means!

This immersion assembly has been a BLAST! All of the Teams did such great videos and performances. Our whole school will be learning about Latitude and longitude but we will be learning about them in our own different ways. Team 1 - The Bee's, Team 2 - Easter Hunt, Team 3 - Pick A Path, Team 4 - Navigating, and last of all Team 5 - 'Where in the longitude and latitude are you! I hope all of us students at Pt England learn something new about our theme.

Malaga/Career Talk!

Today 3 amazing people came to Pt England to talk to us about careers. They talked about who they were and how they became who they are right now, they also said what they went through before they became who/what they are now. Their names were Jason Young (A good friend of Ray Tele’ a = Mr Tele’ a), Fiona Bakulich (Mrs Tele’ a’s sister) and Tanielu Tele’ a (Mrs Tele’ a’s son and the BEST BLUES PLAYER!).

Jason Young! What Jason does is building - he’s a builder. He’s apart of the ‘Big Buddy - Fatherless Boys’ thing. I’m not quite sure what it is but all I know is that he’s apart of it because he grew up with a solo parent which was his mother. He didn’t always want to be a builder but he also did want to be a journalist.

Fiona Bakulich! You may know her from the programme ‘Casketeers’. The job that she does is a ‘Funeral Director’. Meaning she cleans the bodies of loved ones and she organises the funerals for other families. It can be a pretty hard job for emotional people because you have to see the faces of people crying and you have to comfort them. As I told you Fiona is Mrs Tele’ a’s sister but she is younger than her. She is only younger by 1 year, 1 month and 11 days.

Last of all Tanielu Tele’ a! Most of you Pt Englanders know Tanielu because of Mrs Tele’ a but now that he’s apart of the Blues Auckland team. As you know he is a rugby player for the blues team, he also got the 1000th try. His role models were Sonny Bill, His Papa and I can’t remember the other one but he always looked up to them. He thanked all of his…. Well, actually some because he forgot 2 people but he thanked his Pt England friends for being there for him all the way.

This talk was very inspirational for me and the other year 7 & 8’s. I really hope each and one of us takes a little piece of this information and put it into our lives to help us achieve our dreams. I hope this writing can also inspire you as well! And make sure….

Beneath NARNIA!

Image result for coral reef
What lives beneath the ocean? Maybe coral fish or catfish or maybe even banana fish! I'm kidding....  what if there were things that lived in the sea but we didn't even know that they existed? Like what if there were MEGALODONS! Now those sharks are bigger than Titanic.  Sometimes I wonder what if we were fishes and we lived in the ocean? I'd glide within the water and crash into Marlin and Dory. We'll search for Nemo above the water and save him from Darla and her weird smile! Once we find him, we'll go to NARNIA and ride the big poofy lion all the way home!

THE END!

Toy Story In War!

Image result for toy story in war
Toy tanks shooting at toys! Can this get any worse! Well, a miracle happened it didn't get worse, it got better. Andy and Woody came to save the day. They kicked the living out of those little green soldiers. At that moment Sid (the bad boy from Toy story) came and stepped on Woody, Andy screamed her head off. At that moment Aladdin came with his magic carpet and shoved Sid to the floor. Somehow Sid magically transformed into a hamster and disappeared with a blink of an eye. Andy raced to Woody and held him in her arms. Somehow another miracle happened and Aladdin's Genie (his name is Genie) came and shot him with magic. Woody laid there in silence and then.......

Bargains? HECK YEAH!

WALT - Write an exciting explanation about something I enjoy.
Hey! Have you ever gotten a bargain from a shop before, I know I have because there are always bargains at Pak'n'save and others. That's not the point but the point is I will be telling you why I love going shopping when there are sales!

Cheap but Expensive... This saying means - 'The price is cheap but it looks expensive!'. I made that up but whenever I want to buy something it's usually $20 or more, but when there's a Sale on it's like 10% off. You should be able to see me when there's 10% off!

BUYING THE WHOLE STORE! I buy a lot (and I mean A LOT!) of things when there's a bargain. Out of all the things that I would buy the most it would be FOOD! I'm in love with food so much, I'm pretty much married to it. On my wedding, he said 'you may kiss the bride', I went up to it ......... and ate it!

There you have it, I couldn't think of 3 ideas but I could only think of 2 so I hope you like them. Make sure that when there's a bargain happening make sure to tell your parents and also me. Hope you enjoyed my 2 ideas on why I love bargains, Sales!
