Six-Sentences Story

Image result for silhouette boyOnce Upon a Time there was a handsome boy named JayJay. He lived in a small cabin with the sight of a nearby river. He was a poor boy but he had the ability to heal anyone who was injured. The problem was, no one believed he was able to do this. He felt betrayed, but one day he saw a girl bleeding to death. He decided to heal the girl in front of the whole village, and that’s when the people made a celebration about this amazing save, and gave him the label, Chief.

Hangi In The Oven?

This is the 2nd to last week for cooking which is a bit sad but at least I'll get to cook these in the future. Today we made a Hangi, which is a traditional Maori food. It's where people cook food under the ground, and steam it up. I'm not quite sure how it actually works but the food somehow doesn't taste like dirt. Since we can't do it under the ground, we are going to be cooking it in the oven. If you would like to learn how to cook it, here is your instructions.

Ingredients -
Onion
Carrot
Cabbage
Orange Kumara
Potato
Pumpkin
Chicken

Step 1 - Dice the vegetables

  • Onion (Slice)
  • Carrot (Square)
  • Cabbage (Slice)
  • Potato (Square)
  • Pumpkin (Square)
  • Chicken (Cut in half)
Step 2 - Put the chicken in first and top up with vegetables, spices & salt.
- Bake 180 degrees for 40 mins

🍫Chocolate Cake🍫 (Gone Wrong)

Just a normal Tuesday, the Year 8's went to Tech/Tamaki College. Today we got to make Chocolate Cake but something went wrong. I accidentally put too much water in the batter mix, which made it watery. Surprisingly, I kept mixing it and it didn't turn out bad. It was a bit watery but the mix was still good so we still put it in the oven. My advice to all of those bakers and readers out there, don't be stupid like me and listen to your teacher/parent when cooking/baking. If you would like to know how to make this cake then here we go:

Ingredients -
Plain Flour
Sugar
Cocoa
Eggs
Oil
Milk
Vanilla

Step 1 - Dry Ingredients
- 2 c of Plain Flour
- 1 c of Sugar
- 1/3 c of Cocoa

Step 2 - Wet Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 1 c of Oil
- 1/2 c of Milk

Step 3 - Baking Part
- Put it in oven and will till it's baked
And ENJOY!

📀German Folk📀

This term we have been doing a rotation in team 5. This week, Room 3 is in Room 1 doing German Folk/D'hammerschmeids. The dance is new and creative, it's similar to hand games. All you do is grab a partner and start doing a hand game. If you've ever played Slime Yuck Yuck before, then it'll be really easy for you. This is one of the easiest dances I've learnt. Make sure to try this dance out because it's something new and fun. While we were doing this dance, Mrs Moala recorded us so if you would like to see what we did, here it is.

DNA - Proteins

Task Description -
Whaea Kelly hasn't been coming to school for the past few days since she is sick, but today we had Mrs Ilaoa. Our little project we had to do was doing some research about DNA. I found proteins interesting so I decided to pick that as my subject. We had to make a poster and share it some of the students in our class. This is some of the interesting things I found out about Proteins. I hope you learnt something new from my research.

🍅Vegetable and Bean Paddies🍅

Not much people like vegetables and that's a fact. It either taste weird or looks weird, but if you make these paddies, it'll be something different. These paddies aren't regular paddies you buy from pak n save or mad butchers, these paddies are one of a kind so let me tell you, they taste different but really good. At first, Calais and I thought it sounded a bit weird, but it turned out to be really nice. Don't judge something by what it looks like.

Butter Beans
Zucchini
Red Pepper/Capsicum
Carrot
Red Onion
Bread Crumbs
2 Eggs

Step 1 - Mash the butter beans until it looks like mashed potato.
Step 2 - Grate the Zucchini, Red Pepper & Capsicum (but it might be hard to grate it).
Step 3 - Crack your 2 eggs into the bowl of butter beans.
Step 4 - Add all your vegetables to your bowl and mix.
Step 5 - Make your paddies and put some bread crumbs on it to stop the sticking.
Step 6 - Put it in the pan and wait for it to cook.
Optional - You can make it into a burger if you want, or you could eat it by itself.
You Choice😊

Experiment With Onion Cells

Aim:
Finding a clear picture of onion cells?

Hypothesis:
The magnification I think we’ll be able to the onion cells is 40.
Image result for clear picture of onion cells

Equipment:
1 Onion

A Cover Slip
Tweezers
A Blue Stain

Method:
Firstly, we peeled a thin layer of onion with the tweezers. We put the thin onion
layer on top of the slide Mrs Stone gave us, we put 2 drops of saline on top of onion to smooth it down. Next, we put 2-3 drops of blue stain on the slide. Mrs Stone gave us a cover slip to put on top of the onion/slide to cover it and then it was ready!

Observation:

For my point of view, It looked like wings but specific types of wings. It looked like
insect wings or fly wings. There’s lines everywhere that connect with each other
and little dots in between some of those gapes.

Life's A Stage - Last Term For 2019

Have you ever heard of the play Romeo & Juliet? A dramatic love story, written by William Shakespeare. How does this relate to my writing? Well, This is our last and final term and our theme that our teachers have chosen for us, is 'Life's A Stage'. Drama's, Fiestas and many more to come!

Is That Mr Burt? We walked into the hallway to see a random man with colourful afro hair and big yellow glasses but turns out the random man was Mr Burt! Mr Somerville, Mrs Tele'a and Mr Burt had something to show us. Is it Kind? Is it True?

Bippity Boppity Boo! Team 1 made a movie showcasing Cinderella and her four evil sisters. While Cinderella was cleaning around the house, the four sisters were dressing up in gowns and putting on lots of makeup. Dancing their way through corridors, Fairy God Mother popped out of nowhere and turned the four sisters into frogs. I guess that's a happily ever after?

We've Got Some Hula Girls In Mind! Team 5 did a little dancing performance for us. They danced to He Mele No Lilo which is originally from Lilo & Stich. One of the other dances were Git Up, and as we all know, this is one of the new challenges people have made. Do you know who Shakira is? One of her most famous songs is Waka Waka. They used some of the moves from just dance, so if other people knew it as well, they could join in.

In this immersion assembly, many people embarrassed themselves, trying to make others laugh. The good thing about this was that they were confident enough to get up on that stage and do the weirdest things ever. Being confident is one of the most powerful things I've experienced, but that doesn't mean being nervous is a bad thing either. A brave person is a person who shows their fear to others, letting out your fear takes courage, and that's what you call a brave person.

Succini
Mince
Fettuccine
Spices

What's The Purpose Of School?

Most people say school is for learning and getting a good education, but is that the reason why we go to school? Many people in this world have different opinions on why we go to school, and most of the time, the answer is learning. Let me tell you what I think the purpose of school is.

Education. We mainly come to school to learn about things that'll get us a better job so we'll earn lots of money and have a better life. Teachers also teach us about all the cautions and dangers that could hurt us in life. If there were any robbers, they tell us to run as fast as we can and if not yell and scream at the top of your lungs.

Haven't you noticed that when you go to school, you get there and see all of the friends you've made? Socializing is a big thing for kids. If we were all homeschooled, we would all be scared to go out to places and meet new people. We wouldn't have the confidence and courage to talk to anyone because you would only be used to your family.

They teach us what foods are good for us even though we love eating junk. They help remind us what food we should eat to keep in better shape. What if we didn't know what foods would be bad for us? We could be eating foods that could kill us or foods that could get us sick.

Do you agree with my statements? Or do you have other reasons for what the purpose of school is? If you think about it, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and other people, have become billionaires, but they dropped out of school. School might not always be the answer, but most of the time, it's the best option. When you go to school, always listen and respect your teacher because you might regret it when you're older.

English Breakfast Cooking!

Our second day in cooking and Ms Tuipulotu told us what we were making. We made an English Breakfast, now keep in mind I don't like Bacon or baked beans so I didn't really enjoy it. The only thing I ate was the sausages! My partner was Calais and since I cooked the eggs and bacon, I got burnt a lot. Unfortunately I burnt some of the eggs so I didn't eat it. I hope our next cooking will be something that me and my partner will actually like and cook well. Hope it has something to do with sweetness!

Ingredients -
Bread
1 Inch Eggs
Ham Slices
Sausages

How To Be A Good Friend!

WALT: Write explanation writings

Betrayal, Fraud, Peer Pressure. Do these words describe a good friend? Do good friends tell your secrets without permission? In my opinion, It's a big no because we shouldn't do that to our friends, here's my explanation on how to be a good friend.

Someone who listens, A friend who listens is someone who cares about you and how you feel. A friend to lean on whenever your feeling emotional, a friend who gives you the advice to help you get through your problems. They wouldn't interrupt your conversation, but they would sit down and encourage you to move forward.

Honesty! Someone honest and truthful is the type of friends people like. They want friends who keep secrets and doesn't tell anyone their hardest times. If you have a friend who always tells you their secrets, that means they trust you to keep that away from everyone else.

Communication is a big deal with friends usually at the age of 12 and older. Friends love to communicate with each other 24/7. When a friend doesn't reply to the other, they think they're ignoring them for something they did. Make sure to contact your friends every day, every night, every morning or you'll be having nightmares in your sleep.

Have you been a good friend yourself? Do you think you're a good friend? Take my advice and be a good friend to all of those around you. Bad people make their lives worse even when they don't notice it. Take care of yourself and be kind!

Quote - "Best friends mock each other for every single reason,
Even if it's true, it still means they love you"

Benny And His Friend!

WALT: Read fluently and accurately recognising and understanding punctuation. I focus on meaning and phrasing.

Task Description -
I just finished my reading just in time because I've been very busy but here it is. We are just reading about a boy and his friend Benny who did something that changed them for the better. If your one of those people who like to get whatever they want, you need to stop and think, is what your doing right, you may be happy but later in life your life will turn upside down. Don't be a scammer and share the love!

Blog 1 Resources- Maths Week!

MATH'S WEEK!
In today's math's week our teacher (Mrs Stone) has prepared us a Morse Code to unlock. As you can see in the photo there's a boat sinking. If you've already done research about the olden days then you defiantly know that that boat is 'Titanic'. Morse code is a very hard subject to learn, one is because you have to learn how to write it and what letters it represents, two you have to listen to Morse code to figure out which one is the dots and which one is the lines. Enjoy Morse Code, It's really fun!

Math's Week!

MATH'S WEEK!
In this photo you can see that i'm cutting out something that's made out of paper. This shape that i'm cutting out is called 'Great Dodecahedron'. This is a shape that is kind of in a shape of a circle but instead it has stars in some of the middle of it. It took a while to cut it out because you have to really concentrate and take your time. Once it was all finally cut, we have to fold the lines on the shape either forwards or backwards.
Keep in touch to see what will the final product will be?

What I Learnt At KPMG! 2019 Extension

This is 3rd time we've been to KPMG and this time we got to learn things about our term theme. These 2 girls came to tell us some things about what problems are there in the ocean. They were Ecologist's which is a person who learns and understands about the environment around them. After they told us about their volunteering and companies, we went across the road into this little house where we met a lady. She taught us about the 'Sustainable Coastlines' which is a company who try and help the sea life by picking up rubbish on beaches or moving the animals away from danger.

We went back to KPMG to do some projects about the Gods of this land. My group had the 'God Of Sea - Tangaroa'. First we had a paper with some questions on it and what we had to do to answer them was research about them. Once we figured out our answers Justine (One of the KPMG people) gave us plastic/objects to use to make our own robot/machine. We had to make a machine that'll relates to Tangaroa so it can help the ocean. We all shared our projects and had delicious food. Hope you get to go to KPMG one day and enjoy it while you can.

Hatter's Gold!

WALT: Read fluently and accurately recognising and understanding punctuation. I focus on meaning and phrasing.

We are back in the school vibes now and my class are doing the usual. Our book that we are reading is 'Hatter's Gold' which is about a boy named Laurie whose dad works in the mines. Sometimes they have strikes but it very rare, one day they came out of the mines during the middle of the day which is very surprising because they barely come out. I won't spoil anymore but make sure to keep working kids and you'll be the greatest of the greatest!

Another Holiday Of Nothingness!

Woo Hoo! I was so eager to go home but found out that we were staying home for the holidays. I mean staying home isn't that bad but since it was the holidays I felt the need that I had to go outdoors and enjoy the breeze. I know that some people had a good holiday because they got to play fortnite or go on the internet 24/7 but that seems dull. I wanna go to an amusement park or go somewhere you can explore and investigate.

One of the things I did during the holidays was listening to music. The one thing that satisfied me was music. I have a big passion for music including dancing, singing, etc. Not many people know this but it's true, I love music so much that I need a break from it sometimes. Sorry to say but this is
pretty much the only thing that I enjoyed in the holidays. Take care and make sure that if you're having the same problem as me, nag your Mum and Dad to take you somewhere out of the house. It's not only good for you but I ensure you that you'll have fun.

Task Description -
Do you like the feeling of being cooped up in your house? I don't like it at all but sometimes you just have to deal with it. Some things that you could probably do if your at home doing nothing is begging your parents to go somewhere! Maybe don't do that but that's the best option I have, unless your a music freak like me.

We Back In The School Vibes!

Back In Business Kids! To our surprise, we found Mr Burt, Mrs Tele'a, Mr Somerville and Ms Va'afusuanga having a BBQ. Our theme that the staff had picked for us is 'Something in the water - He Mea I Roto I Te Wai'. Let's start our journey and eat some Smoked Trout on the way!

Then what eats the seagull? Team 4's movie was the most suitable movie for all ages. They said sea creatures like Plankton, but the Mussels eat them, but the Crabs eat them, but the Seagulls eat them so then what eats the seagulls? Technically, nothing eats the seagulls but they are threatened by human beings because we have been polluting our area. I learned something new from that video, the sky is called water.

Cell, Nucleus, Chromosome, DNA, Gene! As usual, Team 5 did a little production to show us what their team will be learning. The teachers made a song about the five things that live inside the Cell (including the Cell itself). The song started slow but then got faster, kind of like a nursery rhyme. The question that we have to figure out is how are the living organisms connected?

Overall, my favourite thing about our immersion assembly was getting to eat food but not just any type of food, seafood! Since Mr Burt and the Prefects didn't have any stickers to give out so instead, they gave out prawns, fish, mussels, etc. I'm more of a meat lover but I do fancy the different flavour of seafood. What I learnt from eating seafood was, 'Don't judge something on what it smells or looks like, just enjoy how it is!'.

What do you think lives in the ocean but hasn't been exposed yet? Us humans still have lots to learn about the earth and how we are all connected in different types of ways. We have only discovered 5% of the ocean so that means 95% is undiscovered. Maybe you could join us on our journey to learn some fascinating things about the ocean and what lies beneath it.

Task Description -
By now we should all know how the immersion assembly's work because we've had it every single term. The management team chooses a theme for the whole school, our teachers pick a subject or something that has to do with our theme to learn about.

Never Judge What You See!

Long ago there was a place where all Dinosaurs lived. A place where no living person was found except for Tarzan. Tarzan was a person who acted like an animal, he climbed tree's, ate bugs, he did everything that a caveman would do. No dinosaur ate him or touched him until one day.......

Tarzan was doing the usual things that he would do but then a dinosaur that Tarzan had never seen before tried to eat him. He swang through the jungle, one branch to another his hand slipped and he fell to the ground. He tried opening his eyes but something seemed wrong. It was quiet, very quiet. He stood up, his face was in shock. The dinosaur that was chasing him, was standing right in front of him.

He thought that this was the end for him but instead the dinosaur licked his face. All along he thought that the dinosaur tried to eat him but really the dinosaur just wanted someone to play with. He wasn't scary and mean but he was nice and playful. And that's the end of my story!!!

A Random Poem About A Mother...

Image result for mothersI was raised by a mother, who didn't treat me wrong

But she was a mother, who kept me strong

She would always keep, my family together

Through all the bad times, she would be there forever

She's a hard worker, she works all day
She may be stressed, but she smiles every day

Kauri Island Reading

Task Description -

Life Is What We Need!

Life is what we're living in right now. Life is a gift that we got from God..... but people treat it like it's nothing. Like we never needed life in the first place, but stop and think for a moment. If we didn't have life what would we be, if we didn't have life what would the whole world be like? Many questions can run through your mind about not having a life. For all the people who have wanted to commit suicide, you should be thankful for having a life. They were so many people in this world that just had one second to breathe air, only one second to see the world. These people wanted a life so they could grow up and graduate, so they could maybe find the love of their life. Once you lose that one breath of air, you lose everything you have, you lose everything you ever wanted so don't go commit suicide but enjoy what you have. Enjoy your life while you still have it.

Task Description - This little story is just an inspirational writing to tell other people how to treat them self and others. We shouldn't go killing ourselves because we think that our lives aren't perfect but..... no ones life is perfect and one day you'll be in some bad depression but you'll get through it with or without someone! My saying today is -

~Always Believe~

Daring Decimals!

WALT: convert between fractions, decimals and percentage

Task Description -
The same thing like last week we had to convert fractions, decimals and percentages. I think the hardest one out of all of them had to be the percentages, I haven't been a fan of percentages because I just don't get it.

Decimal Fractions!

WALT: convert between fractions and decimals

Task Description -
This weeks learning was about doing Decimal and fractions and how to convert a decimal into a fraction or the opposite. We also had to add and subtract some fractions and decimals but in my opinion the fraction one was harder than the decimal questions. This is nothing much but I hope you learn something.

Africa Facts

WALT: Use the elements of an Information Report to write a report about different topics.

Do you have a place somewhere beyond the world that you would like to visit? One of the places that I've always wanted to go to is Africa! It may have lots of wild animals but nature is one of the things that I would love to learn about in the future. Here are some things about Africa that you might not know about.

Everyone knows that there are a lot of animals in Africa but did you know that there were penguins living there? You would've never thought that penguins would actually live in Africa but there is a colony living near the cape in South Africa. They are attracted to the cold currents there.

There are 54 countries in Africa - and 9 territories -with a total of more than 1.1 billion people living on the continent, which is 15% of the world's total population. Find a clickable Africa map here. Africa is the 2nd biggest continent so Africa's population is 1.216 billion.

I wish I could tell you more facts about Africa but I have no other ideas that include Africa. I hope you've learned something new about Africa (unless you are really smart and you already knew these facts) but i'm still learning more about continents and all the countries that are in those continents. Learning is something that we hate to do but it actually helps us so keep learning kids and you'll be successful in your life.

Task Description -
All I wrote about was some little facts about Africa. It's not much but this is all I could do so hope this doesn't break your eyes!

Come and Learn Some Things About The Continents With Me!

WALT: Using code and making a scratch animation for our theme!

Instructions - Firstly press space and wait for the cat to disappear. Press left arrow key and wait until the background turns back to the World Map. Then Press 'C' key then sit back and relax and enjoy the show! If you would like to restart it and watch it again press b and repeat the same steps!

Task Description -
This is my scratch animation and let me tell you some things about it. This was my first time playing around with scratch so it was a bit hard for me to code but I seemed to be doing great. What I learned was a lot of things about the continents and it's up on my blog if you want to check some of those out. Making this took some time and effort into it, I think I took about a month to make this whole thing. The music is suppose to represent the country meaning it's a song from that country/continent. The last one which is Paris, that song wasn't actually from Paris but I just chose a random song that I could find.

Everyone know that there are 7 continents but sometimes I wonder what about New Zealand. It doesn't seem to be in the world map when you search up 7 continents, If I were ever a debating person, I would debate for my life. New Zealand deserves to be at least something, even though it is a country, it deserves MORE! Anyways, I hope you enjoy my little animation and if you want comment down below what you think but please be positive. LOVE YOU GUYS LOTS <3

Fractions Finale!

WALT: We are learning to multiply fractions

Kiwi Animal Facts!

WALT: Use the elements of an Information Report to write a report about different topics.

Have you ever heard of a type of animal named Kiwi? Do you know New Zealand's native animal? I will be telling you about NZ’s native animal and some facts that others didn’t know about.

New Zealand’s most famous native animal is endangered. Why? Approximately 27 kiwi’s are killed by predators every week. Ferrets, Possums and Pigs are the predators that kill kiwi’s nearly every day. Us New Zealanders haven’t seen kiwi’s in a long time so most people are certain that they’ll be gone many years from now. A Kiwi is a little brown fluff ball with a long beak. Kiwi’s are flightless – their Latin species name is Apteryx, which means wingless, It has feathers like hair, nostrils at the end of its beak and an enormous egg.

These were the only facts that I knew about Kiwi’s so I hope one day you’ll eventually learn more about them. If you ever get to see one do not scare it away, do not try to kill it because we are losing them by the second of it. I hope this learning helps you throughout this year and enjoy.

Task Description -
Just like the other weeks we have a topic and we write about it. Whaea Kelly gave us a choice to write about a place or something within New Zealand. I picked our native bird Kiwi. Reason why is because Kiwis are about to be extinct. Why? because all of the Kiwis predators are hunting them down every day of our lives and they have no protection because they are flightless. Just like a penguin they are a bird that cannot fly. This is what my writing is about and I hope you learn something new.

The Middle Number

WALT: We are learning to solve out how to get the middle number

Task Description -
Today in math's class we didn't start off doing our slides questions for math's but Mrs Stone put up a question to see what would be the in between number. I did a workshop before doing this because I didn't quite understand but now that I understood how to do it, I worked it out on my book and put it on a google drive to show you guys how I solved this question. 31/480 is between 1/16 and 1/15 meaning that's the middle number between those two numbers. Enjoy my math's and try out these type of math's in your own time!

TACOS!!! For The Mexicans And Americans!

WALT: Recognize and use the Informational Writing.
Don’t we just love tacos! Did you know that this type of food was made in Mexico? I will be telling you about the amazing, delicious and most famous Mexican food….. TACOS!

Tacos! As we all know tacos are the greatest food/dish that we could ever have. America is one of the places that you would definitely find tacos and that’s because they eat TONS of tacos, they probably eat it every day! When it’s Taco Tuesday, no one messes around because it’s such a traditional/national day for all Mexicans and maybe even Americans! Tacos are so filling but the word taco means light lunch??? In my opinion, I would change it to FILLING lunch because I can get full on one taco. Did you also know that Taco was first created/made in the 1950s! Surprising right? Something that we love eating and still eat this present day has been around for so many years!

These are the only facts that I know about Tacos so I hope you enjoyed knowing these little facts about Mexico’s delicious tacos. Just remember TACOS WERE MADE IN MEXICO!!! Just a reminder to all those Americans who somehow don’t like Mexicans!

Malaysian Animals!

WALT: Understand the elements of informational writing.
Malaysia is a great place for all people to go to. Have you ever thought of going to Malaysia? Did you even know that Malaysia existed? Well, sit back and relax and here are some things about Malaysia's animals!

Java mouse-deer! What a weird name right? Well, this animal looks like a deer but is tiny like a mouse. When it reaches adulthood it is about the size of a rabbit, making it the smallest living ungulate. It is found in forests in Java and perhaps Bali, although sightings there have not been verified.

Rhinoceros hornbill! This majestic bird is a hornbill and has a unique  Rhino's horn that has similar colours to a Toucan's beak. It is found in lowland and montane, tropical and subtropical climates and in mountain rain forests up to 1,400 metres in Borneo, Sumatra, Java etc.

The Malayan Tiger... this tiger may look like a normal tiger but for some reason, it was Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List in 2015. Malayan tiger can reach 70 to 112 inches in length and 52 to 284 pounds of weight.

That’s about the only things that I know about
Malaysian Animals. Every animal can be weird and disturbing and others can be cute and cuddly but you never know which ones are dangerous so be careful around animals and don’t trust them!

Racism, Hatred, Intolerance! All of these words that don't belong in this world. Everyone is different! People can't say that others are really irritating and bothersome if they haven't even met them. People can have wacky hair and a really weird smile although they can be amazing and effective on the inside. Everyone has to appreciate and love the imperfections that others have so take my words and Love The Difference!

Jack and The Beanstalk

Once upon a time there was a boy named Jack and his mother gave him a job to do. He had to go and buy something from the market and bring the cow with him. While he was walking around the market, a guy came up to him and offered him 5 magical beans for the cow. Jack was so satisfied that he gave the cow without thinking and took the magical beans and ran back home. He showed his mother but she wasn’t impressed at all. “What is this!” she shouted. She grabbed the beans and threw them out the window and without saying another word she walked away. In the morning, Jack woke up and was in shock.

A big beanstalk was right in front of him. He wondered what was at the top, so he decided to climb the beanstalk. It was a long way up but when he finally reached the top he could walk on the clouds. He saw a big, giant castle and started to walk inside of it. The inside was big, it looked bigger than the outside. Jack heard big footsteps so he ran behind a big plate and tried to keep out of site. “Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman” the giant roared in frustration. At that moment Jack ran out of the castle while the giant chased after him.

Jack reached the beanstalk and quickly climbed down. Once he reached the ground he grabbed an axe from the outside of his house and started to chop the beanstalk down. When the giant got half way, the beanstalk started to fall and the whole thing crashed onto the ground.

THE END…..

Toni & Jannah!

Hello there reader, yesterday we had an unexpected guest show up to Team 5. Do you remember my blog post about all of the Attitude talks that we had, Well, Toni and Jannah had come to our school to talk about Friendship Factors. I know I've already talked about Friendship Factors before but this time they had something new up their sleeves. On each factor, they would give us an activity to do. In the next paragraphs, I will be explaining my two favourite Friendship Factors.

Be Positive. If you've already met me, you would know that I am a very positive and happy person. Being positive can not only help you make new friends but it can also make other people around you to feel more welcome and comfortable. Negativity is bad for a lot of people especially people who take it to the next level, positivity is more powerful than what you think it is. The activity that we did for this phrase was complementing one another and saying nice and wonderful things about them.

Be Yourself. No one's perfect, everyone is different in their own unique way. Many people have tried to change themselves just to fit in with some of the popular kids or smart kids but being yourself, you can make lots of friends no matter who you are. You should be proud of who you are, you shouldn't be ashamed of how you look or what other people think of you because being yourself is the greatest gift, it's the greatest goal to achieve so never doubt yourself.

Stem and Leaf graph may be a bit hard for others and it may look very hard but once you get use to it, it would be easy for you!
Enjoy math's and appreciate what you learn!

Another Proverb & Poster!

WALT - Pick a proverb and make a poster!

Task Description -
This is another poster and proverb that me and my group picked. We never saw this one at first because it was on the other page but when we saw it when really wanted to do it. This saying is also in the bible so if you ever get to read the bible, try and find this saying. Thank god for everything we have!

Proverbs & Posters

WALT - Pick a proverb and make a poster!

Task Description -
This is one of the proverbs that we used in a maori book. From my opinion this proverb would mean "let other people sing all of your blessings and songs!". Me and my group (Christina and Rosaleen) picked this one because it stood out very well!
