Task Description -
Whaea Kelly hasn't been coming to school for the past few days since she is sick, but today we had Mrs Ilaoa. Our little project we had to do was doing some research about DNA. I found proteins interesting so I decided to pick that as my subject. We had to make a poster and share it some of the students in our class. This is some of the interesting things I found out about Proteins. I hope you learnt something new from my research.

For many biologists, proteins are the most interesting type of molecule, because of all the different structures and functions they have (in comparison, DNA has basically just one shape). Many proteins are enzymes and help molecular reactions occur quickly inside cells (millions of times per second!). Other proteins have more of a structural role. For example, your hair is made up mainly from the protein keratin, which is very long and strong. Keep up the great learning.
