What Are My Favourite Things To Do At PES!

Sleeping, Non-learning…… These are my favourite things to do at school (well I wish I could do those things) but unfortunately that’s not aloud at school, so I will be telling you some things that i’ve enjoyed throughout my years at Pt England School!

Year 6 camp! In 2017 all the year 6’s (well most of them) went to Kawau Island for the whole week. It was awesome and everytime I think about it, I just wanna go back. The reason why I loved Kawau Island was because we got to do a lot of fun activities like Abseiling, Kayaking, Sailing,  Mr Jacobson’s Obstacle course and some sports. If you ever get to go to Kawau you will love it except for the ‘Killer Hill!’.

Tech - COOKING! I love to go to Tech (Tamaki College for Year 7&8’s) only if it’s cooking. Why? Well because I get to cook and once i’ve finished cooking it…. I get to EAT IT! And OHHH it tastes delicious. E.G Most of the times we just make pasta but when we get lucky we get to make CUPCAKES or PANCAKES!!!

Sports tournaments! At school we get the opportunity to play sports for our school, we get to go somewhere and verse other schools. I’m not a sporty person but I do like to play some sports for the school like Softball, Netball etc. We just played softball not long ago for mix and girls and we all won, now we’re waiting for Auckland Champs!

Here’s 3 things I love to do at Pt England school. Coming to this school was no regret for me, I made so much funny and nice friends and they give you so many opportunities to do fun things. I hope you wished that you came to PES because this is the bestest school ever!

Ned - Kindness Adventure!

Somethings are different in life right? Well just because somethings are different doesn’t mean that their bad. Today Ned and his friend Cosmo told us heaps of things about Kenya and how it’s different compared to our country, New Zealand.

One of things that caught my eye was how your smile can make a big difference. He said that we all have a superpower and that superpower was our smile. When i first heard that i was like “My smile isn’t my superpower, my smile is my ENEMY!”. I noticed that when you make a person smile you feel good about yourself so that’s why this is one of my favourite points.

Each person matters a lot! What would that mean? I think that its meaning that if there’s someone different to you, you still have to give them as much love, just like you give love to your family and friends. They may be different and they may look a bit weird but it doesn’t mean that their a bad person.

Include Others! This one really attracted me. Why? It attracted me because most of the people that i hang out with don’t really include people when playing games, sports and so on. When your playing with your friends and you see someone walking by themself, What would you do? If I were you I would go up to them and ask that person if they wanted to play with me!

Sticks In A Bundle Are Unbreakable! What does that mean?  In my opinion that would mean ‘people together are strong’, so never be that person who thinks their cool and stuff, but be the person who will lead the group and makes sure “NO MAN'S LEFT BEHIND!”.  Well I don’t really mean that but just be the person that everyone loves to hang out with.

My Picture Book Writing

It’s a wonderful day, but i’m getting bored, I have no where to play, so i am going to lord.

But I’m actually going to our solar system, where there’s a lot of wisdom. 5 4 3 2 1, off i go to the sun.

Mercury is closest to the sun, it’s a rocky world, but now i’m here let’s have some fun. Venus is the second planet closest to the sun, and by the way it’s the hottest one, but i shall go now, so off i go.

I’ve already been here so to the next planet!!! Off i go.

Mars is the fourth planet from the sun, OH NO THERE’S AN ALIEN NOW I SHALL RUN, oh wait he is a kind one, but i should go now, so off I go.

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun, Oh and it’s the largest one, but i can’t stand on it, so i should go, and off i go.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun, it has one big ring, and here’s the thing, that i should go now, so off i go.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun, and by the way it has 27 moons, oh look what i found it’s my spoons, but i should go, so off i go.

What an adventure i had, and none of them are good to live in, and i’m really glad of that, so no more looking for another planet to live on, because this is the right planet to live on.

Task Description: We were writing a picture book story about our solar system and then we would explain what things are in space. One person will be chosen to print out there's and give it to room 18, so they can read it.

My Food Web

Your probably wondering what is this? well this is actually a food web. A food web is a like a food chain but a food chain is when the animal or bug has it's own food so like it's their food and a food web is when other animals and bugs can eat their food too so it looks like a web, so the spider eats the insect then the insect eats the fly then the fly eats the beetle and that's called a food chain. A food web is like this the spider eats the fly, beetle and the insect and the insect eats the fly and the beetle so that's a food chain.

What is a ecosystem 

A ecosystem is living things so like everything that moves like animals or plants.

The Night Devil spider

The Night Devil is a Red and Black spider all it does is hide in the night and then it waits until they see their prey. Then it jumps and grabs the insect and it’s pretty fast but watch out it’s a sneaky little hunting spider. You would mostly see the Night Devil only if you stay up at night in the trees. It behaves very crazy it’s fast and very jumpy.

Insect VS Spider

One day a black and red insect named Holly was wondering around the forest and then she saw a red-back spider. The spider went to Holly and introduced himself to her ‘Hello there my name is Ben I am a red-back spider’ he said in a creepy voice. Holly was really afraid of Ben because his creepy voice scared her. ‘Hi my name is Holly’ she said in a terrified way.

It was turning night time so Holly and Ben went into a hole in the tree and went to bed but while Holly was sleeping Ben woke up and dragged Holly out of the tree hole and took her away when Holly woke up she was stuck in webs.’Hi Holly i’m sorry to do this but i’m really hungry and there's no insects anywhere so i’m gonna have to eat you’ Ben said but he didn’t sound that sorry. ‘ Please don’t eat me I thought we were friends’ Holly said

Then Ben was just about to eat Holly but then a hawk came and scooped up Ben and ate him. Holly was scared and she was relieved that she was alive she was so happy that the hawk came down and scooped him. Then she got out of the web using her sharp legs and then she ran away back to her home and relaxed and said to herself ‘I’m never trusting anyone or anything ever again.

Camp soon 2017

Well let me tell about camp I don’t know much because I never went to camp year five so I just tell you stuff anyways let's get on with it. What i’m looking forward is to doing our dance oh I forgot to tell my group so my camp leaders are Daisy and Jaylim and our song for our dance is I gotta feeling by Will.i.am and the moves are funny but its gross at the same time.

Wanna know the group names well the group names are called Principals, Presidents, Sheriff's, Captains, Generals and lastly the Chiefs. The songs that were on the paper were September, I gotta feeling, Americano, another song I don’t remember what it’s called but it’s by pitbull and another one by one direction and some other ones.        

I’m hoping that we won’t have any terrible problems or any horrible weather because we all know that we want to have a marvelous day at camp and not a ugly stormy day, so i’m really hoping that we have a wonderful day at camp because this is my first time at camp and I don’t want my first time at camp to be horrible because I don’t have any other chance i’m a year 6 that's why.

What i’m nervous about is that well i don’t really know what i’m nervous about is probably who i’m going to sleep with at camp only because i don’t know if I can trust them or like I just don’t know who  to sleep with because all of the girls want to sleep with me, that kind of sounded weird but it's true so that's what i’m feeling about camp.
