The Hungry Wave

WALT: Read between the lines to understand the hidden meaning in the text.

Task Description -
This work was for week 3-4, since most of us didn't finish on week 3. Just as usually, Whaea Kelly gives us a school journal and picks a page so we can read about it, then answer the questions she has made for us. This article wasn't too bad, it wasn't easy or hard but I was able to finish it.

Oakley Creek

WALT: Read fluently and accurately recognising and understanding punctuation. I focus on meaning and phrasing.

Task Description -
There's this girl named Faith who wants to be apart of the popular group. She thought that telling her mum a lie just to go to the Oakley Creek was a good idea but everything turned upside down. If you want to know more look through my slides and enjoy!

Hatter's Gold!

WALT: Read fluently and accurately recognising and understanding punctuation. I focus on meaning and phrasing.

Task Description -
We are back in the school vibes now and my class are doing the usual. Our book that we are reading is 'Hatter's Gold' which is about a boy named Laurie whose dad works in the mines. Sometimes they have strikes but it very rare, one day they came out of the mines during the middle of the day which is very surprising because they barely come out. I won't spoil anymore but make sure to keep working kids and you'll be the greatest of the greatest!

MeMe and Me! Reading - Mahy

WALT: I can find clues within the text.

Task Description -
This weeks work was just another simple, same thing we do every week but this time we only had two days to finish this. Why? Well, that's because the year 8's (including me) had a year 8 camp all the way at Kauaeranga Valley. I finished my work in time so here it is and I hope you learn some things as well.
