Immersion assembly

Walt: Just the first day of term 2

Today is the first day of term 2 we had our immersion assembly and our new topic is Now that’s thinking so you just have to think smart so it can be a great idea that other people will use.

Team 1-3 were all about flying kites and we watched their admiring movies. Team 1-3’s movies were making a kite in different shapes, sizes and colours. Then they would go outside and set it free so then other kid and people would see it hovering in the air. Team 5 was different. Team 5’s topic is fixing so fixing all of the equipment in the classes and the tree’s and dirt outside the classes.

Team 4, my team's topic is technology. What Technology did Maori people use back in the day and before pakeha came and arrived in New Zealand. Team 4’s movie had all of the team 4’s teachers so Mr Goodwin, Miss Scanlan, Miss Parent, Miss West and Mrs Buchanan. In their movie they had to think of what they should learn about. Then the amazing thinking teachers went looking around in the library. Then handsome Mr Goodwin found out that they started making cars in 1997.

What I wanna learn about is probably more maori stuff because I wanna learn more about interesting maori stuff and more related stuff to maori and New Zealand. I’m just really hoping to learn about extraordinary maori stuff.

What I think about the new term theme I think it’s very creative and interactive. I really hope they think of a fabulous theme next time. Now that’s thinking is like your smart and you're thinking very great creations and idea’s.
